Good Guide, Just needs a Bit of an Update September 15, 2007 Sarah B. Nelson (lexington, ky) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
I used to live in St. Thomas, and traveled to the other Virgin Islands, as well as Montserrat, St. Kitts, Antigua and St Maarten/ St. Martin. This was far and away the best guide. Despite its scope, the Rough Guide was better at identifying the major attractions and conveying practical information than many of the specific island guides that I came across. It's very well edited. The only caveat that I'd add is that it does need a bit of an update, especially with respect to departure taxes, taxi fares and Montserrat tours. Still, I couldn't recommend a better guide.
