These sandals are very sturdy indeed. They look great with pants or shorts. But my little guy keeps getting blisters on the sides. So now he only can wear them with socks which prevents direct rubbing on his skin.

I purchased the Sperry Top-Sider for my son. He loves them. The sizing was good (had a little room which is perfect for a 5 year old!) Easy to get on and off and they don't absorb foot odor!

Needed to go with a size up with these shoes. These sandals had everything I was looking for in a shoe. Quality - good, comfort - great!
