For a sure, protected step, in or out of the water, Speedo's Buoy water shoe is perfect. The foamy EVA forms a cushiony cage around your foot, and features cut-outs and outlet ports to release water, a Velcro buckle closure for a secure but comfortable fit, and a wet-dry traction outsole.

5 out of 5 stars Good shoe   October 9, 2008
J. Keim (Colorado)
Great traction in mud, don't slip off either. Nice and light, comfortable. I went with a 1/2 size larger and was glad I did. They do seem to run a little wide, but I have narrow feet. Good drainage, and if pebbles make their way in, the usually wash out in a few steps.
Best kayak shoe I've found so far.

4 out of 5 stars Light and comfortable   September 25, 2008
Johnny J. Ray (Carol Stream, IL USA)
I bought this shoe because I needed footwear that could be used for hiking and can be used in water. This shoe work perfectly for what I need. The shoes are light, almost to the point that you forget that they are on. The also provide good support so it is possible to walk moderate distances without your feet hurting.

The only negative for the show in my opinion is that it does not come in half-sizes. The shoes are sized differently that regular shoes, so if you usually wear a 11, get a size smaller, a size 10.

5 out of 5 stars comfortable, inexpensive shoes for the pool, around the house, etc.   September 17, 2008
hondast1100 (Wichita Falls, TX USA)
I recently started lap swimming at my local pool and got tired of wearing tennis shoes and messing around with removing/putting on socks/shoes before and after said swims. Needed something comfortable and easily removed when I got to the pool. I hate the look of flip flops and typical Tevas and wanted something unique.

I ordered the "silver" models. Very impressed with these shoes. I've had them for three weeks now and really have no complaints. They look really good and are very comfortable. Easy to take on and off at the pool, even with wet feet. In fact they are so comfortable I find that they've become my main shoe to wear when loungin around the house or running down to the grocery store. Soles have good grip and don't show any premature or abnormal wear.

I only have one issue and in all reality I am not sure it is too big of an issue. I wear a size 13 in all shoes and admit that these Speedo's might seem a little large. I am not sure if they are suppose to fit this way but this looser fit hasn't effected the comfort nor how well they stay on my feet.

Pros
Comfortable, I can wear them all day.
Look good, better looking than a pair of flip flops, at least to these eyes.
Relatively inexpensive since some water shoe brands can get extremely pricey.
Wear around the pool, around the house, all around comfort.

Con
Seems to be sized just a little large to my feet.

4 out of 5 stars Very comfortable shoe, good looks, minor issue with drainage holes   September 15, 2008
A. Sychev (Philadelphia, PA)
These Speedo Buoy are my first pair of dedicated water shoes. Overall, the shoes look great and feel very comfortable on the foot, although they are not extactly true to size and feel loose, about 1 size too large. The reason I gave 4 stars are the drainage holes in the sole - while it is not a problem while you're in the water, too much sand gets in though these numerous holes as you walk on the beach. I wished Speedo R&D provided a way to plug these holes or used a some sort of one way valve...

4 out of 5 stars Cheap and effective.   August 25, 2008

How much time will you spend looking for a cheaper shoe? Just buy this one. It is fine!
