very very shiny. i mean, i know patent leather is shiny. but these are galosh shiny. plastic shiny. very, very shiny. the good points are an extremly soft inside and really good quality as far as workmanship. am i the only one who didn't know they are rain boots? are they rain boots? i feel dubious about them being waterproof. hope i can wear them in pleasant weather. they are very shiny. and a little large in the calf. (shiny!)
