This is a really good cd, good for a pool party or something like that, it really cheers u up, but it doesnt have a whole lot of replay value as the steel drums get annoying (to me).

I wasn't looking for the rum punch style of Steel Drum music, and instead something more Milt Jackson-ish. This fit the bill perfectly. Great summer ambient music. No cheese.

I wanted to relax to some soothing tropical steel drum music... most of the songs are at a tempo that makes me want to run around the house in "fast motion." So if you are looking for a rapid rhythm, this CD is for you.

Helps Keep One's Sanity Over a Long Winter May 3, 2009

I didn't mind the "pop" music, and listening to steel drums in the car helped me get through commutes in February in Minnesota. My only complaint is that these appear to all be large groups of steel drums playing together. I was hoping for a few solos for a change of pace.
