5 out of 5 stars Flames rule   September 14, 2002

I have been enjoying the music of the Flames since the mid 80's.
Their music keeps you on your feet be it "self dancing" or in the "conga line". They have enjoyed many years as the road march band in Antigua. I would strongly urge anyone wanting to experience true caribbean music at it's best to listen to the Flames. You will not be disappointed.

i know without a doubt that burning flames is the best band in the carribean if not the world when it comes to carribean music. They are clear, the music is well written and produced and they are originals, year after year, after year they come out with hits after hits, they are legendary in my book their music gives you a natural high words cannot express. they do not get the recognition that they deserve but it is clear that they are indeed the best band that the carribean ever had and will ever have in years to come. I salute the burning flames for talent galore.

In my opinon I beliefed that burning flames is the best band ever to come out of the caribbean, for they are the only band from the caribbean to play in the unit state of America prinsedentral white house, and to have a sond ( land girl ) that featured in a major movie (weekend at Bunny 2). Therefore I do not agree with the person that said that their music do not has good lirics.

5 out of 5 stars Burning Flames is *very* "varibbean[sic]"   March 30, 2000

I do not know what the other reviewer is talking about. Themusic that Flames produces is not only meaningful, but it isdistinctly Caribbean. I have been listening to the Flames since the 80s. He was correct in one regard, they produce some of the best party music.

3 out of 5 stars excellent example of alternative carribbean music   October 12, 1999

This type of music, actually considered carribbean funk, is different from what most would consider true carribbean music. It is however, a fun, happy brand of music caught somewhere in between reggae and soca. If one is looking for meaningful lyrics and a point to the songs on a recording, this is probably not something for them, but it is a some of the best carribbean party music around. Just a little note, the song Island Girl was actually featured in the movie Weekend at Bernie's 2.
