The Impecca 4 Watt Multimedia Speaker & FM Tuner, Alarm Clock, USB, SD & MMC player is so basic that it is unusable. It does not support folders, all files have to be in the root of the MP3 device. Moreover, it does not support within track advance. It moves between tracks but not in a track. You can only get to the end of the track by listening to the entire track. At $10 it would be worth three stars, at $28 it's a worthless single star.

This product is described as having a "backlit alarm clock," and in the pictures, it is illustrated with a blue backlight on. I bought two for my kids to use as clock radio/music players in their bedrooms. However, the backlighting only comes on for a few seconds when you press a button, and then goes off again, and there is no way to make it stay on, which means that at night it is impossible to see the time without finding the button and pressing it! In addition to this, the time can only be displayed in 24-hour time, which again isn't mentioned anywhere in the descriptions! I am extremely disappointed at this, and would never have chosen this item if the description had been accurate on these points.

I think this produces quite good sounds for $25 audio. Music plays well from my usb drive and sd card.
A few comments I would like to add; it doesn't recognize my 16gb sdhc card and the remote is useless (doesn't work when distance is over 5 fts or so).
I initially thought of buying ~$100 mini shelf audios for my baby girl's bedroom but I am glad I bought this and not wasted my money since this does its job.

The Impecca description I read about this device was lacking. 1. As an alarm clock it has no battery backup. 2. Portaability is in size not power. 3. It is not possible to wake to a particular song. Otherwise the sound quality is great. I hope to build a battery pack for it so that it will be a dependable alarm clock.
