My wife and I are planning at trip to the Turks and Caicos islands and thought it would be fun to get a sneak peak of the island, so we ordered this DVD. What someone did with this DVD is set up a camcorder on the beach and record 40 minutes of the sun setting and added on an amateur collection of photographs in a slide show, mostly of the same pink flowers that scatter the island. That's it. There's no action at all, no change in scenery, nothing (well, twelve minutes in a bird did fly across the frame). No famous green flash as the sun sets. Given the late hour, you don't get the brilliant blue colors of the Caribbean waters or the sparkling white sand of the beach. I really couldn't tell the difference between this and a recording of a beach in Connecticut. I've only ever returned a couple of things from Amazon, and this certainly has the fastest turn around time - in my mailbox one day, out the next.
By the way, stay away from the book by Ryofu Pussel. The photographs aren't terrible but aren't printed in glossy format, so they lose a lot of luster. Also note that the only review, and five stars at that, is from the author. Check out his other reviews, they are all of books that he has written, and guess how many stars he gives himself! Julia Davies' book is better, if you want something to pique your interest in the island, go with that. Just don't waste your money on this DVD.
