The height of the seat measures 19-inch from the ground. The lower shelf is raised 6-inch off the ground to give you shoe storage without cluttering the floor. Perfect for hats and knick-knacks, there is also an upper shelf that extrudes 8-inch from the wall to top the whole thing off. The total height of this unit is 72-1/2-inch with a width of 24-inch and depth of 18-inch. The frame is constructed of metal for strength with a 3-inch foam pillow seat covered in micro fiber fabric. Finally, the upper and lower shelves are finished with a rich espresso finish that completes the styling.

Sturdy bench, easy assembly if the pieces fit October 1, 2009

This storage bench looks nice and is heavy and sturdy. At first, the assembly was easy, but when we went to put on the top shelf, it wasn't cut right to lie flush on the rack. We had to spend about 45 minutes shaving off part of the wood underneath with a knife to get it to fit on straight. Now that it is together, it does the job well.
