| Customer Reviews: Pretty Blue Enamel, Very Heavy February 22, 2010 A. Webb I bought this as a gift for my sister. I was struck by how pretty the blue color was and the heaviness of the dutch oven. This is no light-weight cooking utensil. The color matched my sister's kitchen perfectly.
very pleased October 11, 2009 Annette La Lone 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Very happy with this product, it was purchased as a gift for a friend and she loved it. Product was packaged very well so as not to have one scratch or ding on it. The color was very pretty. Could not be happier
Great pot, lousy handle March 6, 2009 Jeff Lorenzini (Huntington Beach, CA USA) 2 out of 3 found this review helpful
We bought this pot about a year ago, and the handle just broke. The lid gets really hot, so it's difficult to use it without a handle. I would recommend buying an iron pot that has the handle shaped as part of the lid.
I like the pot, but if you use a scouring pad, you'll quickly go through the enamel, which may be good, as it will add iron to your food.
Heats evenly. Good buy for the money. December 2, 2008 S. TAYLOR 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have cooked in this dutch oven twice thus far. I fried chicken once and made oxtails the second time. It performed well in both instances. My primary purpose for purchasing was to be able to go from stovetop to oven, however, since I havent done that yet, I cant rate it on its performance in that area. One thing I will say is BE CAREFUL if you have a glass top stove because this pot is super HEAVY.
Decent enough, but handle is NOT oven safe October 14, 2008 Constantinos Nikou (Pittsburgh, PA) 9 out of 9 found this review helpful
I bought this to make no-knead bread, because our 7Qt dutch oven was too big.
It performed just fine, except for the handle, which got a bit mushy in the heat. Not liquified, but enough to smell funny and need to be thrown away.
