Amazon.com Review Designed by Helen Chen, daughter of renowned Chinese food pioneer Joyce Chen, the Asian Kitchen Excalibur line of cookware helps bring Asian cooking into the Western home. Crafted from durable carbon steel with a 2 mm thickness, the cookware combines rugged construction with convenient non-stick coating, so food cooks traditionally but cleans up quickly. Named for their premium 2-layer non-stick coating, Excalibur pans feature secure riveted handles made of stay-cool Bakelite. Perfect for the rapid heating conditions of searing and stir-frying, they are safe for use on gas, electric, and induction stovetops. This Excalibur stir-fry pan is a substantial cooking tool, suited to rapid cooking of meats, seafoods, and veggies. It features a flat bottom, steep sides, and a handle ring for hanging. Measuring 12 inches in diameter, it should be washed by hand for best results. A 14-inch version is also available. --Emily Bedard

JUNK November 7, 2009 S. Tong 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Bought this product based on great reviews above. I am Chinese so I use product daily. Now, for about 3 months, now the teflon is already wearing off! It's bad product in my opinion although it looked great when I got it and it doesn't stand everyday uses.
NonStick! Makes you wanna cooK! October 23, 2009 Girlie Perfect for saute, frying.. I even tried cooking oatmeal in it while waiting for my pot.. LOL ...Awesome! I wish they have this in 8 inches...

long lasting, non-stick wok September 19, 2009 John W. Wendt (Lubbock, TX and Gulu, Uganda) WHAT a wok! My wife and I had a bit of a prolonged "discussion" about whether we really needed a wok at all, but in the end, we got this thing, and I'm glad we did. Woks are great for all kinds of things--searing meats, cooking veggies, heating up chapatis and other flat breads.
Woks are made to heat things fast, and at a high temperature. This usually is not good for non-stick coatings--they tend to either lose their non-stick properties, or peel off altogether. Not so with this wok. We've used it almost daily for a year now, and it's as good as it's first day. I'll even fry up eggs in it--they slide right out. Cleans up in a snap. Goes well beyond stir-fry. We got a good quality universal lid to add to its versatility.
This is one piece of kitchenware you'll use a lot. Great price, too!
Love it September 11, 2009 Hannah E. Shields Awesome wok. Nothing sticks to it, but nothing scratches it either. A bit heavy if you're used to flipping things, but you get used to it. I may get another one so that I can have two dishes going at once in them.
