5 out of 5 stars What a great little dutch oven!   March 4, 2010

This is not my first dutch oven but it is my first enameled one and I have to say I am in love with the little guy. I am a single guy so the 6qt is just way too big. So I opted for the 3qt and it is just the perfect size and shape for my needs. I use a small convection oven (DeLonghi .9 Cu. Ft. Convection Oven) in an apartment and it fits in it easily with room to spare.

My only complaint is the same as most others, the lid knob. I am at a loss as to why Lodge would put a plastic knob on a cast iron dutch oven. That said I have not had any problems with it but it does concern me. If it becomes a problem I will simply replace it with a metal knob from the hardware store.

2 out of 5 stars Chips easily   February 11, 2010
M. Mazz (Hyattsville, MD United States)
I love this pot for its even cooking and its appearance. But, the glazing chips very easily. I've hot it only a few months, and taken good care by not using sharp utensils and storing it without stacking anything on it or placing other pots next to it. But, it already has 3 minor chips on the exterior. These don't impact cooking but they are unsightly.

5 out of 5 stars great medium size   February 11, 2010

Had the larger size which was a bit big for meals for 2. This size is better suited.

5 out of 5 stars My new favorite cookware   February 3, 2010

I love my new cast-iron pot. It heats evenly and is so easy to clean and I know that it is healthy as well.

I love this pan. Cleans up easily and is the perfect size for a small family. Great value.
