I buy Lodge because they are consistent with their product. I love the enameled cast iron series that Lodge is coming out with now; very easy clean up and beautiful enough to set on the table. The cooking/baking temperature is consistent over the entire area of the dutch oven. It is versatile too! I can go from the range directly into the oven.

This is a high quality pan that is also attractive enough to serve food in. I have used it for several recipes from my Julia Child cookbook, and it was just perfect. I had always wanted a Le Creuset pan, but they always seemed too expensive. This Lodge pan is just as good, for a lot less cash.

One woman told me Amazon had a sale on enameled cast-iron dutch ovens, and as the price was definitely right, I decided to try it. I have been SO pleased by the quality of the dutch oven and the variety of recipes. This is a great way to feed your family healthy meals with much less fuss and less expense.

Liked it so well I bought the next larger size. I have castiron Dutch Ovens without enamel but these are much better. No more seasoning with all of the benefits of iron. Nice

I was looking at the upper crust brands but couldn't bring myself to spend that kind of money for one pot. This one is just as attractive and cooks great, even heating and easy to clean. It goes from frig to oven for leftovers very well. It's my go-to pot for everything needing more than a 2 qt saucepan. Very well made and durable.
