| Editorial Reviews:
Product Description Graniteware has been around for generations, and there are plenty of reasons why. It is durable, heats up quickly, is easy to clean, doesn't react with food, and it now has vintage allure! This pot can be used to steam veggies, boil pasta, make soup and so on.

Good value for Granite ware item! October 12, 2009 Susan Anderson (Clarinda, IA USA) I bought this Granite Ware pasta pot as a replacement for a similar-sized pot I had used for over 25 years. My pot had finally worn through on a dent it acquired somewhere along in all the moves I've gone through in the years. This size (7 1/3 qts) fits the needs perfectly for my smaller family. It is light weight which is good for me as I have minor disabilities and can't handle heavy cookware. I have used this pot several times now with success. Appears to conduct heat well and clean up is easy with the smooth finish.
The only a negative I have is that my new pot arrived with a small ding in it even though it was packed securely. It was not enough to send it back but I know it will shorten the life of this pot. Eventually the ding will rust and let liquid drip through, just like my last one. I'm hoping for a least 10 years use and if I get more than that, I am a happy camper!
Great Product, Bad Packaging August 7, 2009 Nana (Silver Spring, MD) I wanted to replace my very old enameled pasta pot with one just like it. The price was right and offered free shipping too. When I received the package the pot was damaged on the bottom rim both inside and out, causing the enamelware to flake. It was packaged in a much larger box than needed with just a little brown paper filling around it. The outside of the box was crushed, which is what probably caused the damage. I called Amazon and reordered, thinking this was a one-time occurence. Not so. The second pot had the same damage in almost the same exact spot and the packaging was the same as the first. Needless to say, both pots were returned and I found one in my local hardware store...sans damage.
Amazon personnel were great throughout this ordeal and I commend the company for this. I do hope however, that they will monitor practices in the shipping department.
Not for Glass Stovetops! June 22, 2009 Alan R. Speelman (Orlando, FL.) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
When I shopped this kitchenware nowhere in the description did it let me know that it cannot be used on glass stovetops. Only when the item was received the box opened and the label read did it say this vessel is not to be used on glass stovetops.
Obviously had I known that I would not have made this purchase. Needless to say I couldn't use it, so it's hard to give it a fair review. I'm sure if I could have used it I would give it the best review possible since I chose it from among a large group of other kitchen-ware.
Granite Ware 7 1/3 Quart Pasta Pot June 1, 2009 JGC 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Very Disappointed. The insert sits too high off of the bottom, forcing you to use more water than if it was close to the bottom. The drain holes in the bottom are way too big. The center hole is so large I put a cork in it to plug it up. There are 6 other larger holes surrounding the center one which are just a bit smaller. Interspersed on the sides and bottom are collander sized drain holes as well. The big holes allow macaroni to flow out freely forcing you to use a collander anyway. I tried it with spahgetti and lost a fair amount of it through the holes as well. Why would anybody design a pasta pot this way? Not very bright is the only term I can think off.
Excellent quality! March 1, 2009 Mary (Florida) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This is a high-quality enamel pot. Just like they made in the old days but without the extra weight. I have arthritis and I can still manage to easily remove the insert with the 2 sturdy handles. Much easier than using a colander.
