I made Christmas Turkey and Ham at the same time. My kitchen did not get hot and the meat cooked perfectly. The best was the clean up. Oh, I almost forgot and then I made a pie. I am using it a lot.

Works great for cooking and holding at a serving temperature. This is the second unit like this I purchased. It holds about 40-45 pounds of pulled pork.

I love this roaster oven. The turkey comes out so tender, and cooks in record time. One thing I do when I make a turkey is rub it down with unsalted butter or olive oil before roasting, turn it to 450 degrees for 30 minutes, then down to 325 until it's done. That helps it to bronze beautifully. No basting, and opening the lid to peek once or twice doesn't dry it out.
Our Thanksgiving turkey was 24 lbs. and I was really glad I'd purchased this larger unit. It fit perfectly. Another helpful feature is the well-designed lift-out rack. It keeps the turkey's back from turning mushy and enables quick and easy removal to the carving board with those folding handles.
I am no longer intimidated by making a turkey. I've made 3 turkeys since I purchased this roaster. I'm sure I'll find other foods to prepare in this unit.
