Very nice, with a surprise November 13, 2009 John C. Gee (St Louis, MO) This is my first food mill.
I bought the 2 qt model, thinking the 4qt model
was too big. I like the solid construction and
attractive appearance. The mill works pretty well.
I've made applesauce and "squeezed" pomegranate
juice. The 2 qt size is fine for those two uses.
I could see how the 4 qt model is more appropriate
if you do heavy duty amounts, such as for canning.
I knew in advance that the wire handle is not
ideal. I would agree that it is a bit uncomfortable.
Since you are holding it for maybe 5 minutes, it's
only a minor annoyance.
The one surprise I had was...on the 4 qt model,
and on competing models, the grates are removable
and interchangeable. For the 2 qt model, the
grate is built in and can't be removed. This
makes it harder to clean. I suspect this also
limits the uses for the 2 qt model, although for
my uses this hasn't affected me. If I had realized
that the grate was non-changeable, I probably
would have bought the 4 qt model, just to have
a more versatile food mill.
Overall, it's a solid product that is good for
light to medium duty, or small to medium amounts.
Foley Food Mill July 15, 2009 Armand G. Dieli (Suffield, CT) I have been a Foley Food Mill user for over 40 years and I was sad when it finally gave out. But thanks to you, I am a proud owner of a new and authentic Foley Food Mill. I have one negative comment and that is the handle. The older model had a much more comfortable handle and I wish they had kept that type. None the less, I am happy to have the Foley Food Mill in my kitchen. Thank You, Lorraine Dieli
Memories May 29, 2009 L. Kleinman (Boca Raton, FL USA) WearEver #50025 3.5QT Stainless Steel Food MillI haven't had one of these for many years, and was delighted to find it on line when I felt the urge to start making home made apple sauce once again. The only complaint, as I've read in other reviews, is that the open handle is uncomfortable with use. I was forwarned, but bought it anyway. I corrected this by wrapping a towel around the handle...cumbersome, but it worked.Otherwise, it does the job.
Not for tomato sauce.. March 9, 2009 E. Tuncel (NY,NY USA) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
I bought this product hoping it was similar to one I used years ago to strain tomato sauce. The strainer on this one is too fine to make tomato sauce. It takes too long to process and too much of the tomatoes goes to waste.. Don't buy it to make tomato sauce..

Food mills are always useful January 31, 2009 M. S. Kennedy (Tiverton, RI USA) 3 out of 3 found this review helpful
If you make applesauce, baby food or a variety of other food items, this food mill is worth its weight! Be sure not to lose the bottom piece that holds the arm onto the pot. You will enjoy using this easy-to-use mill.
