Product Description
Cuisinart Multiclad Pro Stainless-steel 12-piece Cookware Set - Cuisinart MCP12

Amazon.com Review
Elegant and contemporary, the Multiclad Pro line from Cuisinart consists of deluxe cookware for the professional home chef. The exteriors of the 18/10 stainless steel pots and pans feature a handsome brushed finish, while the interiors are mirror-polished for non-reactive, quick release of foods. The tri-ply Heat Surround technology sandwiches an aluminum core in the base and side walls for superior, even heating. You'll also find solid cast stainless-steel handles that stay cool on the stovetop, tight-fitting stainless-steel lids, and drip-free pouring rims. Each piece is oven-safe to 500 degrees F, and the pans are safe for broiler-use, too.

This fabulous set consists of basics and more. The 1-1/2- and 3-quart saucepans with lids take care of everything from oatmeal to béchamel sauce, and the veggie steamer insert with its own lid fits the larger saucepan. Also included are 8- and 10-inch open skillets that turn out perfect grilled cheese, hamburgers, and crepes; 3-1/2-quart covered sauté pan with a helper handle, great for braising meats and cooking fish fillets; and an 8-quart covered stockpot for stews and soups. Dishwasher-safe, this set has no coatings to flake off or plastic to melt, and will surely be passed down to the next generation. Cuisinart covers the Multiclad Pro set with a lifetime limited warranty against defects. --Ann Bieri

5 out of 5 stars Beautiful, well made, great price for such quality!   November 20, 2009

I just received this set and have only used a few pieces. What really impressed me right away was before using you wash and dry with warm soapy water and a soft towel, when rinsing this cookware it nearly dries itself and shines brightly and just looks great!

I used the 3 qt. saucepan to cook a small serving of pasta for my green salad, it boiled the water in jig time and was able to keep the water boiling on a 3.5 setting on my ceramic top electric range.

You can't go wrong at this price, comparable to All Clad at 20% of the cost! Lovely!

5 out of 5 stars Cuisinart Muliticlad Pro--great in every way!   October 29, 2009

I'm a researcher at heart, so I really did my homework before buying this set. After using this set for many different types of food, I have no regrets at all. I'm careful not to cook on too high of a heat and voila...nothing burns and it all cooks through beautifully. Because this is multiclad, the food cooks fine on a lower heat. Yes, it takes a large pot of water longer to boil, but I just plan for that. Clean up is a breeze if I just let the pan soak a little first after cooling a little. The icing on the cake is how pretty the pans are. I've decided to use a little Bartender's Friend once a week just to keep everything shiny. And the best part is the half-round cast iron pot rack (Amish made-purchased on Amazon) that is so convenient and beautiful on the wall. I like it because I don't have to move pots around or risk banging them together when I pull one out. One more tip..I use bamboo utensils to avoid scratches. I love this set!

Now have been using the Cuisinart multiclad for about a month now. Love the set and made a good choice. Make eggs and omelets, pasta and sauces, soups etc... Hope it holds up as advertised as I do not want to buy another set for a while. Just bought this one as my Calphalon set (not stainless steel) was all scratched up and reaching the end after 8 years.

5 out of 5 stars Create cookware for a great price   September 21, 2009

Great buy! I read a lot of reviews before investing in cookware, and it seemed like these were the best value for the price. I was not disappointed. They look gorgeous, heat evenly, and don't stick nearly as much as I feared. They're pretty heavy, giving a very sturdy, well-made feeling. It seems like they will last forever. I would buy them again in a heartbeat.

I was a little uneasy about purchasing stainless after using non-stick for years. The arrival of our new glass-top stove forced me to find a replacement for my old pans that did the "tilt-a-whirl" if I wasn't holding onto the handles. I did some research online and settled on this reasonably-priced Cuisinart set. I've been using it now for a few months and love it! I haven't used the steamer basket yet but the other pans I use every time I prepare a meal. The pans have enough weight to keep them in place on the stove but aren't so heavy as to make them awkward. I do have to remind myself to go slow. If the burners are set too high I will have sticking. Even that isn't a big deal, though. Let the pan cool down, add water, let soak, and wash. Sometimes I use a little non-abrasive cleanser for extra polish on the inside. The lid handles do get hot so I keep a couple of potholders handy. Overall I'm very happy with this attractive set. And I don't have to worry about a coating coming off in our food!
