Canning wonderful March 21, 2010 T from Michigan (Michigan USA) My wife and I can all of the food we grow and this beats using the stove by far!
We use it out on the porch with a propane tank attached! No mess afterwards!
Its wonderful and the best part is the safety feature {the lock tight knobs on top}
I highly reccommend this to anyone whom cans!
The quality is top notch and customer service is wonderful!
It makes canning a lot easier!

The low is rating is based on the problems with delivery as we have not used the canner yet. FedEx brought the first one...Broken!! It looked like it was dropped from a FedEx jet!! Ups devilered the second one, it was also damaged, but it looks servicable. Although Amazon's price was good, unless the packageing is improved I suggesting getting at a local store where you can check-it-out before you get it home.
Great product February 5, 2010 Back Woods I had been using my mother's older pressure cooker to can food. I decided to get one of my own and am very glad I chose this product. Very easy to use. Great quality components and I love not having to deal with a gasket. I recommend this for everyone.
k.reed January 14, 2010 K. Reed (Ohio) bought this canner for my mother-in-law for Christmas. She was very impressed by the design of the canner. Her old canner had a seal around the lid and she always needed help removing it. She's very excited to use this new and updated model.

This is one of the smartest purchases that I have made. If you are looking for a pressure canner that is durable and makes you feel safe this is the one. While a bit heavy it feels secure as the lid twists and is then held in place by the large wing nuts. It was easy to clean also. You can tell the difference between this one and the competition as soon as it is unpacked, sturdy, no rubber gasket to lose or damage and easy to load. I know of no other pressure canner that is made in the USA. If the price has you hung up a bit just remember that you get what you pay for. I wish you well.
