The 6 in 1 Super Pot with Grill Plates February 22, 2010 Rita Parker 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The 6 in 1 super pot is a great item to have in your kitchen. The down side, the item arrived broken. I contacted Aroma and Aroma had me ship it back to them. They paid for UPS service, pick up at my front door 24 hours after I called to tell them of them damage. Had my new Aroma pot with in 7 days. Aroma is one great company to deal with when problems arrive.
Nothing else like it November 30, 2009 W. Hayes (Walnut Creek, CA USA) A superb indoor grill. Over the last five years I've owned three of these (under different brand names) and this is my fourth. I use it every day, so the non stick surface lasts about 1.5 years (this time I'm going to use soap and water after each use which you wouldn't do with a seasoned iron skillet). Before buying my fourth grill plate I looked everywhere for something similar and found nothing exactly like it.
love it October 29, 2009 Military Wife (San Antonio) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
i bought this for sukiyaki and was concerned with the raised "grill" but am SO thankful that i got this despite my reservations. not only is it great for sukiyaki, but other meats as well. i use this to grill chix, steaks and hambugers, sukiyaki, all meat. the size is perfect for a family of four (four hamburgers, four chix breast, 3 large New York Strips/T-Bone). love it! preheats super fast and the temp is even and changes (cools) with a turn of the dial - very important for sukiyaki. the char is great. clean up is super easy - the entire "pan" pops out. i stopped using my beloved cast iron skillet and other 'cooking' gadgets. if your looking for a table top this is THE one.
Great little cooker September 25, 2009 Shelley Kuhen (Macon, GA United States) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
So often I have needed a small grill or cooker when I don't want to heat up the kitchen or when I want to just cook a small meal with controlled heat. This is an awesome little cooker - especially for the money. It heats evenly and effeciently and is super easy to clean.
I feel so inspired! September 12, 2009 Silvergirl (Frederick, MD) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
I just bought this super pot yesterday from a local store, and I have cooked 2 meals and a dessert in it already. I put a boneless chicken breast in, along with 1 tsp of rendered duck fat, and a dash of garlic powder. I cooked the chicken for about 10 minutes, then added a bag of broccoli, cauliflower, and carrots. I added about 1 cup of water, and then cooked with covered until done. I actually cooked the veggie a little too long, because I like my broccoli crisp, but it tasted good anyway. I will know what to change the next time.
I am not used to the temperature controls yet, and have had the tendency to turn it up all the way at first, turning it down as I continued cooking. I like the responsiveness of the temperature control. When I turn it off, I figured the food would continue cooking for a little while, but it really does cool down quicker than I would imagine. It also heats up quickly, too.
I felt like making fried bananas to go with vanilla ice cream, and it turned out so delicious, that I know it will be my new craving.
I started out with about 2 pats of butter, let it melt in the pan, add one cut up banana, sprinkle with cinnamon, and add some agave nectar. You could use sugar with some water to liquefy it, maple syrup, or honey, instead of the agave. Cook until it is hot. Spoon over ice cream. It is like bananas foster, but without the alcohol. I like my version better than the fancy restaurant where I had Bananas Foster, and paid about $6 for it.
I also made some chili, and it was quick and easy. I did have to scoop the meat out after it was browned, so I could drain the grease, but overall it was fast and easy. I love this pot. I hope it lasts for quite some time.
If I had one improvement to suggest to the manufacturer, I would like an additional pan that did not have grill marks, because there are some food that I like to get the juice from the bottom of the pan, like chili.
