 Nice bit not dishwasher safe January 22, 2010

Bought this to use for smaller cuts of meat. It was a bit bigger than anticipated and is not dishwasher friendly if you want to preserve the non-stick finish. I don't think that was mentioned in the item description. It is a good rack & is holding up well so far.

No need to repeat what others have already stated, so I'll focus on the obvious: Amazon.com charged $15.20 for this item, and the suggested retail price, printed on the cardboard wrapping around the rack, states $14.00. Huh? I only kept it because I'd have to pay for return shipping and because I can't find a decent rack in the stores in our area.

I really like the rack but I was disappointed with your advertisement. I purchased an 18" granite roster first. A couple of weeks after receiving my roster pan; you e-mail me about this rack that would fit perfectly in the roster so I ordered it. When the rack came it fits into the roster. However I can't put the top on the roster because the handles on the rack prevent it. I assumed that I could use this rack with my roster covered. I like to roast my meats covered. That's why I purchased the roster. Other than that; I could have just used the foil pans you purchase at Wal-Mart and the dollar stores. It's not the ideal fit I expected.

I spent 3 months looking at local stores for a roasting rack that had handles on the sides rather than on the ends for better ease of handling when you are roasting a large bird. I couldn't find what I was looking for (unless I wanted to also buy an expensive roasting pan, which I don't need), so I turned to amazon.com. This inexpensive rack works perfectly, and it just fits inside a 9x13" pan, which is perfect for roasting a small bird.

This rack is no doubt a good rack, but it does not fit the pan for which it is recommended. In the future, do not sell this rack with the roasting pan. Find a smaller rack that might fit the pan.
