Product Description Who wants their roast drowning in grease? Instead elevate the meat, and benefit both flavor and fat content.
Amazon.com Review To roast is to surround food with dry heat. Covering a turkey or joint of meat steams or braises rather than roasts, and placing it into a pan without a rack causes the lower part to boil in juices--that's why a rack is essential for proper roasting. This 12-by-9-inch rack ensures a holiday turkey, duck, chicken, or rib roast will emerge from the oven evenly browned and fill the kitchen with an irresistible aroma. It's nonstick, so poultry skin shouldn't tear when the bird is lifted to a carving platter. If necessary, scour this rack with a nonabrasive cleanser and a nylon or plastic scrubber; hand wash with mild detergent to preserve the nonstick surface. --Fred Brack

Jake's Girl July 23, 2009 Jake's Girl (Laplace, LA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I really like the rack but I was disappointed with your advertisement. I purchased an 18" granite roster first. A couple of weeks after receiving my roster pan; you e-mail me about this rack that would fit perfectly in the roster so I ordered it. When the rack came it fits into the roster. However I can't put the top on the roster because the handles on the rack prevent it. I assumed that I could use this rack with my roster covered. I like to roast my meats covered. That's why I purchased the roster. Other than that; I could have just used the foil pans you purchase at Wal-Mart and the dollar stores. It's not the ideal fit I expected.

Works as advertised April 18, 2009 C. Davis (Fort Collins CO) I spent 3 months looking at local stores for a roasting rack that had handles on the sides rather than on the ends for better ease of handling when you are roasting a large bird. I couldn't find what I was looking for (unless I wanted to also buy an expensive roasting pan, which I don't need), so I turned to amazon.com. This inexpensive rack works perfectly, and it just fits inside a 9x13" pan, which is perfect for roasting a small bird.
Rack size too large for pan January 6, 2009 W. Tappan Lum 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
This rack is no doubt a good rack, but it does not fit the pan for which it is recommended. In the future, do not sell this rack with the roasting pan. Find a smaller rack that might fit the pan.

This is not made that well. Part of the rack are not welded together. Not worth the money
A Must-have for the holidays (and everyday) November 20, 2007 DogBitez (California USA) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
I've had this rack for over a year now and I've used it many, many times. It's a roasting necessity for a beautiful holiday turkey, everyday chicken, or fabulous sirloin roast (gives you uniform roasting by allowing heat to circulate around the meat and preventing the lower portion of your roast or bird from boiling in it's own juices at the bottom of the roasting pan). This particular rack is offered in a larger size, but when I bought it last year, this was the only choice available. I'm very happy with it -- I've cooked a few 20+lb turkeys in it and don't see the need for the larger rack. Granted, my 22lb turkey did look like a size 18 woman in a pair of size 6 jeans, but it still worked quite well! I've never had a problem with clean-up that a little soaking in soapy water didn't fix. The rack doesn't look as lovely as the day I got it, but geez... it's been roasted a couple dozen times and it's still going strong. I highly recommend this rack.
