How do you rate something that doesn't work? August 27, 2008 Aaron Lathrop (Tallahassee, FL United States) I've tried two of these now and neither on them worked. I called Microsoft and, after running through a few tests, they had me send it back. I did some research and apparently there are several people that have had the same problem. Amazon was very accommodating in allowing me to exchange one but they would not allow me to exchange the second item but issued a refund instead (per their policy). Unfortunately they also raised their price in that time so I have no tried again. Why did I give it three stars? It is supposed to work very well if you get one that works. BTW I do understand that the Panasonic BL-PA100KTA works very well with the 360, provides a better signal, and, because it's not 360 specific, it would have more applications for the future.
It doesn't work !!! August 18, 2008 Cesar A. Perez Reyes (Caracas, Venezuela) I tried to connect this Wireless Adapter on an Apple Network (Router) and It doesn't work at all. Even though the signal is Excellent this device is not working. I tried to contact XBox 360 Support Dept but They didn't answer my request. If anybody else had the same problem, I really appreciate any help.
Fantastic... August 17, 2008 Zachary D. Harrison (Stockbridge, GA USA) This product is great! I used to have a very long ethernet cable cable running about 40 feet from my computer to my xbox. It was a real eyesore! I always wanted a wireless adapter for my xbox, but really didn't want to pay the $100 pricetag. Anyway, I am very glad I did. It is worth every penny.
works very well August 15, 2008 Paula G. Roberts (Seattle, WA USA) Firs' off people who think its too over priced i agree with you it must have taken $5 ta' make because its just an antennae. But its profits for microsoft so i understand. But it works perfect and works every were in my house so i would suggest this instead of and ethernet cable running through hallways and into your computer. so as being honest a possible i recommend this.
Well it Works... DEFINITELY not worth the price August 11, 2008 ehren m (usa) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
First of all, I want to point out that I've used multiple devices to try and get a good connection between my WPN824 Netgear Router and my XBOX 360 Logitech Play Link - Works PERFECTLY, easiest to set up, online gaming is flawless but downloads were WAYYY too slow (hours and hours to download) Netgear HDX101 Powerline Adapters - Didn't work at all, absolutely terrible performance, barely worked in the same room Xbox 360 Wireless Adapter - The main reason for this review, it is the nicest looking of the ones I used/took up the least amount of space. However, I got it to stream HD off of my laptop. Even when the two were in the same room in clear view of the router, I never could get more than 2 out of 10 bars for the Media Center Performance test. I was frequenstly disconnected for NO reasons, yeah it worked but didn't do what I bought it for. My solution? The Belkin Wireless Range Extender F5D7132. I picked it up used on Craigslist for 16 Dollars SHIPPED. The setup was not the easiest, gotta follow the instruction in some amazon reviews if you use WEP security, but once it is set up it works AMAZING. A. It extends your wireless, so now my router is on the other side of our 4,500 sq. ft house and on the first floor, this extender is on the 3rd floor in my room, extending the internet to my laptop. B. You can hard-wire anything (XBOX 360) via ethernet into it's LAN port, making the connection to my laptop securely in the "Acceptable Range" for streaming HD. Now the XBOX is hard-wired, I have increased my wireless rnage significantly, and I paid 16 dollars. Point being, SKIP THE MICROSOFT WIRELESS ADAPTER, pick up the Belkin Extender, does more, costs wayyyyyy less, WORKS!
