Good, but certainly doesn't last December 4, 2008 Chappy (Virginia) It's good, but it's really not reliable. I used this headset that came with my bought 360 for around 6-7 months, then it started to crap out on me. the plug-in became flakey, and then it became unusable. Soon after the first one died, I bought a second realizing the metal 'joint' sticking out of it snapped. The replacement didn't last four months or so before it started crapping out on me yet again. The 'joint' didn't even come off and it still 'died'. I'm gonna look for something else this time that will hopefully last at least a year... lol
These are garbage December 1, 2008 Brandon L. Held (Tucson, AZ) These things are terrible and overpriced. If you are a serious gamer you want to buy the Turtle Beach headsets. The only drawback is they require batteries, but other than that they are awesome!! This headset will break on you in about a month or so and always goes in and out. COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY!!
A Great Headset November 27, 2008 Brian Adodgyir Harriman I've had this for a couple months and it turned out great. The thing I like the most is the volume and mute switch is on the wire, not like the other headset model that dictates the sound from the block you connect into the controller(it's also better for plugging into a rock band guitar). It only took 3-4 days for it to get to my house, I bought it new and it certainly looked and smelled new. Overall I would highly suggest this headset over others.
360 Headset September 13, 2008 R. Heighton (Seattle, WA) Head set works fine but I really liked the orgiginal model that came with the game. The original allowed you to move the "on/off" switch with your thumb right by the hand controller. This model while it works fine the "on/off" switch is dangling on the cord that goes up to your head. You have to move your hand off the controller to control it.
Not an improvement over the older version September 9, 2008 D. L. Snell (Seattle, WA USA) I have had my XBox 360 for over 2 years and like most people I have back ground noise in my house that is undesirable to the rest of the world (barking dog, barking wife and kids, etc). The older version of the headset had the mute switch located on your hand controller and could be switched with no effort at all - seriously, simpler than hitting the "X" button. Anyway, now Microsoft fixes the previous headset and locates the mute switch some 12" from the controller somewhere near my adams apple or whatever - not sure the brilliance with this or how this was supposed to help the gaming experience, guess I am not as smart as the richest man in the world. Anyhow, so with the unit I now leave my mike muted all the time as I don't have time in most games to hunt for the switch dangling from my earpiece. This is my same issue the the wireless headsets but save that for another review. Enjoy.
