Product Description Made from 100 % Criollo de Venezuela cocoa. The "Fine-flavoured Cocoa" by excellence, Criollo is the rarest and most widely sought of the cocoas. Its tree, very fragile and with a low output, requires meticulous care, on which the quality of the future chocolate will depend. This exceptional cocoa is only cultivated in small quantities (5 to 10% of world production) in countries where cocoa grows, and particularly Venezuela. In 1634 there were already documents describing the first shipments of Venezuelan cocoa to Spain and since then, Venezuela has been consolidated as one of the producers of the best, finest cocoa in the world. *Check out the other chocolates at The Meadow on Amazon! Best Chocolate Bar! February 12, 2008 Veronica M. Davis (South Euclid, OH USA) Chocovic makes the best dark chocolate bars. They are wonderfully delicious. They contain very little sugar and are low in carbs too. Also very high in iron. This flavor is the best. Best chocolate I've ever tasted. I can get them locally at Trader Joes.
Worth paying ridiculous shipping costs December 3, 2007 N. J. Quinn (Florida) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
This is by far the most amazing chocolate bar I've ever had. Trader Joe's sells it, but there are TJ's to shop at near me. I've decided that the ridiculous cost of shipping still makes this chocolate good, abeit a little less sweet (that isn't the chocolate's fault).
Horrible. September 20, 2007 merstar As much as I love the Chocovic Guaranda, I hate the Ocumare - it has a dirt-like taste.
really great....... May 12, 2007 D. Pawl (Seattle) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
How does this chocolate differ from other bars? For starters, it's South American (Venezuelan, to be specific). The Cocoa level is about 80%. This is the real deal! This bar is more chocolate, than anything else. It has a wonderful, bittersweet quality, and is very distinctive. I feel like I am tasting the Cocoa plant for the first time, and it isn't cloyingly sweet, like some bars. This is definitely for chocolate snobs......specifically, dark chocolate lovers.......
