I have been to Cuba. I had a Cuban espresso on the spot. I swear, ours tastes exactly the same. This dark roasted blend imported from Miami is the most often served in Cuban restaurants and cafes in Southern Florida and is not generally sold in stores anywhere else in the U S. It makes a delicious strong espresso.

Growing up in a typical Puerto Rican family, all we knew was Pilon coffee. Now as an adult with my own family, nothing wakes me up like the aroma of freshly brewed Pilon. Hispanics are all about their coffee and Pilon is definitely one of the best. Try it, you won't be disappointed.

Pilon is as real as you can get to old style Cuban expresso. Once you've tasted it, you will laugh at the Italian varieties, and defenetly at StarRipoffs (I mean StarBucks).
One shot of this Rocket Fuel and you are set to conquer the world!

Serious cuban coffee/espresso lovers, look no further! This espresso is so rich. Its smooth intense flavor with the right amount of earthiness that is deeply satisfying to drink and savor. Pilon is perfect for your espresso machine, pot or drip coffee maker, if you prefer a strong, rich coffee. You want to store this coffee in an air tight container at room temperature so the oils can stay consistent for that fresh, fabulous flavor everytime. I'm not a local Floridian, but I love good espresso and with a good equipment like Gaggia or better, you want espresso that can take the heat and render its flavor and Pilon delivers wonderfully!

I also live in exile in San Francisco, but I'm very loyal to my Miami roots. Pilon Gourmet is the best Cuban coffee, period. And it is extremely hard to get outside of Miami. However, javacabana.com has much better prices.

I live in exile in Denver now - I couldn't survive without this bit of Miami ! This is the best. I have a following at work - every Friday morning - cafe Cubano.
