A taste of Island charmJanuary 17, 2008 ReynaVoop 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
British charm, Island attitude and the exploration of good food make this a must-own for any cook.
I first received this book as a gift from a native Bermudian before I'd ever visited the Island. I was amazed by the book's gorgeous pictures, the blurbs about Bermuda's history and traditions and the wide range of recipes it contained. Do yourself a favour and find this book for yourself.
The recipes range from simple picnic fare and everyday meals all the way up to masterpieces like a Bermudian wedding cake. There are even contributions by some of the premier restaurants from the Island's resorts.
I've made many of the dishes from this collection and hope that you find it as enjoyable and entertaining as I have!
