5 out of 5 stars ***His Possession!***   October 4, 2009
L. D. Brown (Compton,Ca USA)
Ashley and Jaquavis have been added to my list of favorite authors. This novel was OUTSTANDING. I finished it in a day! Whether they write separately or as a team their storytelling is 1st rate.

4 out of 5 stars 1st Half Blah, 2nd Half Great!   August 22, 2009
K. Augustine (Southern California)
I love Ash and JaQua but I'm not going to lie, this book started off very slow in my opinion. I usually finish their novels in one day because I can't put it down, but this book took me two days to read the first half and another to read the second half. I give credit where credit is due and I am happy to report that the second half was off the chain and jaw dropping per usual with A&J! The back cover isn't lying when it says it will keep you guessing until the final page. Twists, turns, and the unexpected should be expected as always with these wonderful authors. This book is definitely worth reading!

3 out of 5 stars It was okay   August 9, 2009
MzAbstractMind (New York)
It was a nice story. I fell in Love with the character Peanut, that's what kept me interested. I'm not one for love stories so that's the only thing that turned me off. I do like the ending though, be careful of the dirt you do in life...it will come back to bite you.

4 out of 5 stars On the Downlow ..   August 4, 2009
Vida (Maryland)
This book kinda reminded me of R. Kelly song "Downlow". Ashley & Jaquavis are excellent storyetllers! But there was something missing in this book that didn't take me all the way there.

Kalil an Ex-con just finished serving 4 years in prison. Before Kalil was locked up he was the most respected drug dealer around his hood. Once getting out Kalil is faced with all the changes that took place while he was gone. The turf that he once sold drugs on was taken over by a no good dealer name Fatboy, his babymamma is now a chickenhead and his daughter is caught in the middle.

London is a beatiful young women that was sold off by her father to a drug Kingpin named Jake. Jake is abusive sexually and mentally to London. London meets Kalil and he turns her out mentally and physically. London and Kalil fall in love with each other overnight. A string of twisted events occur, leaving Kalil and London in the path of sudden death. Will there love survive? Will they be happily ever after or six feet under.

Good Novel.

5 out of 5 stars PAGE TURNER!   July 16, 2009
poopie
I want you to know this book is just what my headline reads "A PAGE TURNER". From the beginning to the end A PAGE TURNER! It has suspense, drama and most of all action. I just finished the book last night and it was so worth the read until I hate that it had to end. However, in the middle of this book I went out and bought all of they're other books because I could see that it was gonna be a PAGE TURNER!--lol I'm reading "The Cartels" now and guess what??? Its a PAGE TURNER! too.
